    Updated last: 2.4.2021

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from www.st-ink.com (the “Site”).

    PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically collected information as “Device Information.”

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

        - “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.

        - “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.

        - “Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.

Additionally, when you make a purchase or attempt to purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, telephone number, payment information (including credit card numbers, information linked to your PayPal / Shopify Pay / Google pay / Apple pay / Klara (See a detailed list of all the financial services we work with at the bottom of our website), email address, and phone number, etc. We refer to this information as “Order Information.”

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

See section: "HOW WE USE INFORMATION IN ADVERTISING" below to understand how to use information in regard to advertising.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

    Communicate with you;

Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and

When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services and for improving the effectiveness of our advertising in general.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

HOW WE USE INFORMATION IN ADVERTISING

We use Facebook Pixel to optimize the ads, report on conversions across devices, and create custom audiences of website visitors and Advanced Matching for use in Facebook ads.

Facebook never shares information from the website with third parties. All the information Facebook use is aggregated with millions of other signals before being read by Facebook optimization systems.

The Facebook pixel collects five types of data:

HTTP Headers - Anything present in HTTP headers. HTTP Headers are a standard web protocol sent between any browser request and any server on the internet. HTTP Headers include IP addresses, information about the web browser, page location, document, referrer, and the person using the website.

Pixel-specific Data - This includes Pixel ID and the cookie.

Button Click Data - This includes any buttons clicked by site visitors, the labels of those buttons, and any pages visited as a result of the button clicks.

Additional information generated through Custom Data events. For example, custom data events are conversion value, page type, and more.

Form Field Names - This includes website field names like ‘email’, ‘address’, Phone number, Birthday date, First and last names, gender, and ‘quantity’ when a person purchases a product or service.

Facebook uses data sent by the Facebook pixel to enable us to use ad products, to better reach people who visit our website, to optimize our ads, and provide rich reports and insights about the conversions that result from our ads.

We wish to emphasize that we use Facebook Conversions API, which shares data directly from Shopify’s (Shopify is the platform on which our website is built) servers to Facebook. This means the data can’t be blocked by ad blockers.

Like other businesses in this space, we also use this information to improve our advertising and to serve more relevant ads to people. This is a process known as interest-based advertising and it is a common industry practice.

    Facebook (Facebook, Instagram):

    SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. For example, we use Shopify (Shopify is the platform on which our website is built) to power our online store--you can read more about how Shopify uses your Personal Information here:  https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy. We also use Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use the Site--you can read more about how Google uses your Personal Information here:  https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/. You can also opt-out of Google Analytics here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

We partner with Rakuten Advertising, who may collect personal information when you interact with our site. The collection and use of this information is subject to the privacy policy located here:

    https://rakutenadvertising.com/legal-notices/services-privacy-policy/.

When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, we may use the information about you to create Retargeting and Advanced Matching campaigns on Facebook and on other platforms such as:

Advertising partners that run an online advertising network may use cookies and similar technologies to pseudonymously collect your usage behavior using the device and access data on the ST!NK shop and in other providers’ apps. These advertising partners use the data collected in order to identify the probability of you belonging to the target group we are addressing and take this into account when choosing the adverts on the advertising spaces mediated via their online advertising network. This standard internet technology is referred to as Retargeting.

Retargeting allows us to run advertising which is as relevant to you as possible and to measure the efficiency and reach of the advertising materials, but also to check our advertising partners’ bills for campaigns we are running.

You can deactivate the processing of your data for Retargeting at any time:

    • You can also use these links to opt-out and manage your cookies and to learn more about this matter:

              https://www.aboutcookies.org/how-to-delete-cookies/

Please bear in mind that the data used for Retargeting is also needed for other purposes (including the provision of our services). The collection of the data used for this is therefore not prevented by deactivation. The advertising presented to you will then not, however, be personalized.

As mentioned, we use also Advanced Matching campaigns on Facebook. Advanced Matching helps us optimize our Facebook ads to drive better results. The website sends Facebook hashed customer information along with other information gained by the Facebook pixel, which helps attribute more conversions and reach more people. We hash the customer information on the website before it is sent to Facebook to help protect user privacy. Read below for more information about Advanced Matching / Conversions API.

WE USE FACEBOOK ADVANCED MATCHING / CONVERSION API

The Conversions API Pixel / Advanced Matching tells our pixel to look for recognizable form fields and other sources on our website that contain information such as first name, surname, telephone number, birth date, gender, and email address. The Facebook pixel receives that information along with the event, or action, that took place. We hash the customer information on the website before it is sent to Facebook to help protect user privacy. As mentioned, we share data directly from Shopify’s (Shopify is the platform on which our website is built) servers to Facebook. This means the data can’t be blocked by ad blockers. Facebook can then use the hashed information to more accurately determine which people took action in response to our ad. After matching, Facebook promptly discards the hashed information.

Conversions API Pixel / Advanced Matching enables us to:

Increase the number of attributed conversions - we can match more of the conversions that happen on our website to people on Facebook. This helps us understand the impact of our ads on website conversions.

Increase our Custom Audience size - we're able to better match our website visitors to people on Facebook and increase the size of our Custom Audience.

Decrease the cost per conversion - conversion-optimized campaigns become more efficient because Facebook can better identify and deliver ads to the types of people likely to take the actions we care about.
